The Stabyhoun dog breed originated in the Netherlands and is a pointing dog who is always alert, calm, cheerful, and reliable as well as very easy to train.

A member of the Foundation Stock Service this very intelligent dog stands at around 20 inches at the shoulders and has an average litter size of 7 and an average life span of around 12 to 14 years. The coat needs regular brushing to avoid tangling and requires little shedding.

This breed of dog is great with children and requires regular exercise including the ability to run off the leash and swim. When exercised regularly they are calm and quiet indoors.
