The Sloughi originates from Morocco and is a sight hound who is of medium to large in size and is 24 to 29 inches at the shoulders.

It has an average litter size of 6 and an average life span of 10 to 12 years. This loyal and protective yet gentle and affectionate dog has a very smooth coat which requires only weekly brushing with little shedding.

They get along with other dogs but see other animals as prey.

Most Sloughis are fond of children and are very patient with them.

Sloughis are high energy dogs and need daily exercise for at least 2 hours.
