The Miniature Poodle originates from France and is a companion dog who is extremely intelligent, loving and playful, as well as bold and sensitive.

A member of the Non-Sporting group, this dog stands at 10 to 15 inches at the shoulders. It has an average litter size of 6 and an average life span of 12 to 15 years.

They are high-maintenance dogs who need professional dog grooming every 8 weeks or so, and are extremely gentle with children.

They require less exercise than standard Poodles and thrive on daily walks in and around the neighborhood.
