Baxter has signed a contract with Austria for a flu vaccine.

The contract with the Austrian Ministry of Health comes with an option for the Ministry to buy 16 million doses of pandemic flu vaccine.

This, if fully fullfilled, would be enough vaccines to vaccinate the entire population of the country.

The 3-year agreement gives the Austrian government future access to Baxter's cell-based vaccine as well.

Baxter is also under contract to provide up to 2 million doses of the vaccine to the UK.

The vaccine is currently in midstage clinical trials and is well-tolerated by most people.
